What does “AXXO” mean?
When a file ends with “-aXXo”, it means that the file was* released by aXXo. This is an individual who releases many movies onto the internet. His/her** name is interpreted to be a guarantee of quality, because aXXo always releases quality DVDRips of new and old films.
aXXo distributes these DVDRips over various public BitTorrent sites, such as Demonoid, MiniNova and until recently – ThePirateBay.
Note: aXXo, dubbed “the world’s premier DVD ripper”, is a non-scene releaser.
In an interview with TorrentFreak, aXXo said: “Upload what you’ve downloaded, and then some.“

*Some copyright agencies or malicious users can use aXXo’s name to lure people into downloading fake or malicious releases. The way to make sure it is a genuine release, it to get it from aXXo’s user page on one of the trackers to which he uploads.
**There is no indication as to aXXo’s personal details or whereabouts, and no doubt he uses methods to anonymize his IP address and identity.

Hi there:
Axxo is the king, not because the quality but the size of their release. While others can share the whole dvd (over 4gb), Axxo share a dvd ripped that fit in a cd (700 or 800mb) and keeping the quality of the original. For axxo, size do matter.
Anyways, some suggest Axxo is :
a)a couple of (nice) guys.
b)a faceless group.
c)a ninja :-P

axxo means quality DVDRips – those I’ve had have always been clean i.e. no trojans and the like and most of the time are well-seeded

Those who really know something about the scene groups/P2P groups and private torrenting in general know that aXXo releases were not of good quality (compare to any other scene group releasing 700MB rips like RUBY,FiCO,SPRiNTER etc…) and furthermore, aXXO rips are, nowadays, ALL FAKES, since aXXO has completely stopped uploading since quite some time now.
All private trackers allowing aXXo tagged releases are just badly administrated trackers with no rules on release’s quality.
